2025 Call for Reviewers: Help Shape the Future of Public Health Education

The Association for Public Health Education Accreditation (APHEA) is pleased to announce an open call for new peer reviewers to join our international accreditation team. As APHEA continues to enhance the quality and relevance of public health education globally, we are looking for professionals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and areas of expertise in public health education, implementation practice, research and leadership.

In response to evolving educational demands, APHEA is especially interested in expanding its reviewer base to include emerging and interdisciplinary fields relevant to 21st century public health. APHEA is working to build a vibrant network of educators, practitioners, researchers and experts committed to strengthening public health through high-quality education and practice. As a reviewer, you will contribute to shaping this shared vision.

Reviewer Profile

Professional Requirements:
· Professional experience in public health education, training, research, or practice.
· Familiarity with educational accreditation processes or quality assurance (preferred but not required).
· Interest in public health workforce development and alignment with evolving global health priorities.
· High level of English proficiency (working language of APHEA reviews).

We welcome applications from candidates passionate across all areas of public health, particularly those with expertise in:

  • Health systems strengthening and policy
  • Public health leadership and management
  • Global health and international frameworks (including health diplomacy)
  • Ethics and human rights in public health
  • Emergency preparedness and disaster response
  • Data science, artificial intelligence and digital health
  • Laboratory sciences and translational research
  • Interdisciplinary and multisectoral collaboration (e.g. One Health)
